Product Usage and Specific Action:
The dry preservative GrinAcid is used for the control Salmonella in finished feeds and raw materials.
GrinAcid is a synergistic mixture of salts of Propionic, Acetic, Formic, Sorbic, Lactic and Phosphoric Acid and their free acids, completed with emulsifiers. It contains free fatty acids on a specific curated carrier.

- Pack Size: 25 kg net multilayer paper bag with PE inner liner
- Storage, Stability and Shelf life:
Store in cool and dry place away from heat and direct sunlight in sealed original packing.
Will remain stable for at least 2 years under normal storage conditions if stored in the original sealed packaging.
Keep away from moisture.
Colour changes will not affect product performance.
How does GrinAcid stop salmonella?
- The organic acids included lower the pH and selectively kill enterobacteria like Salmonella
- These acids stay in the feed to prevent recontamination
- Lower pH in gut improves activity of endogenous enzymes
- The salts release their acids in the digestive tract to form a strong barrier against oral contamination
- The natural extracts contain chemically defined substances that very selectively disintegrate the cell membranes of bacteria
Applications:
- For all monogastric animal feed
- For complete feed and raw materials
- Applied into mixer or conveyor, must be mixed well
- Remains stable through production and storage
- Stable in combination with heat treatment
- Activity maintained until digestion in the gut of the animal
Advantages:
- Volatile acids ensure enhanced initial action against salmonella and also other pathogens
- Low volatility of acids and salts for extended protection
- Low corrosivity
Handling:
It is advisable to open the package after bringing it to room temperature and under low Relative Humidity conditions (less than 40%).
Dosage and Administration:
- The actual additive-to-product mixing ratio depends on nature and the degree of contamination of the feed or raw materials.
- Use at least 1-3kg / MT of feed
- Good distribution will further enhance the product's effectiveness.
- Application in a mixer is recommended.
